Welcome! I am Amanda Harris and have I devoted many years to obtaining an education that would allow me to provide direct care to patients. I began that journey working for an amazing nurse practitioner as her certified nursing assistant. It was through her that I was inspired to continue striving to carry the same title of a Family Nurse Practitioner. I spent many years at the bedside in acute care facilities but it wasn't until a clinical rotation in graduate school at a local birth center that I found where my heart belongs. With those who I can relate to the most. WOMEN.

I spent that last 5 years working as a women's health primary care provider creating, growing, and nurturing relationships with my patients. I was also given the great opportunity to work with an amazing group of women who also inspired me to make a way of my own in this great profession. This inspiration lead me to create Branches of Hickory Healthcare and make a way to provide high quality patient-centered care to women in my community. I couldn't think of any better way to further my career and pursue my passion.

I also carry the title of Wife and Mother. I am married to the love of my life, Andy, who has been along with me on this journey supporting and believing in me through it all and for that I am forever grateful. I am also a mother 2 little ones. A delightful, compassionate, and imaginative little girl who I can't wait to see what she does in this world and an adventurous, brave, and loving little boy who is probably going to run it. Lastly, and mostly importantly, I am a Christian and am profoundly grateful for God's plan for my life that I get to experience endless blessings.
